I was born in the beautiful and well known city of Guadalajara, Jalisco in the spring of 1974 as a premature baby. Due to this fact and for being a very small baby, my family gave me the nickname of Almendra (Almond). I later moved to Mexico City with my family, where I studied a career in communications.
One day, I ran into a documentary on Huichol Art,
which aroused my interest. I then began to work on developing my own technique.
When I started dedicating myself to this as a form of expression through art, I decided to go by the nickname of Almond. I thought in this way I would honor my grandmother, who played a very important role in my life and loved to call me that way. I decided to use it in English because it’s concise.

No matter the situation, we all seek our own concept of perfection in life.
I believe that we all deserve exactly what we want. Therefore, I am willing to adapt to everyone's special interests. Despite the topic, we all have something valuable and meaningful in our lives.
Going from a logo to a Matisse piece of art, you will love your passions interpreted in this special technique. It creates a significant effect which makes it totally unique.
